The meeting started at 10:00 am with 1 hour shodai . The Chief Priest lecture was on the following topics:
1: The Law of Cause and Effect
2: Karma
3: The meaning of Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo
4: The Gohonzon
5: The Purpose of faith and practice
After Rev.’s lecture, there was the question and answer section. Some of the questions were as follows:
- Should members participate in traditional family rituals?
- What should be our attitude when we visit other religious sites for the purposes of tourism?
In Koto’s encouragement, he urged member s not to consider block meetings as insignificant (not important) because of the number of attendance. But rather be mindful of the goal of the block meetings as is to promote itai doshin and the achievement of our shakubuku target. The shodai at the block meetings, also give people in our neighbourhoods, a chance to form an inverse relation with the mystic law by hearing the sound of Nam myoho renge kyo.
The meeting ended with evening gongyo. 18 members attended the meeting and three new members received gojukai.
