On the 1st of October 2017, Assistant Priest, Reverend Suenaga accompanied by the Koto, Dr. Kwame Boamah, conducted Kosen-rufu Shodai meeting at Akatakyi block in Takoradi District. Attendance at the meeting was almost one hundred (100) and sixty-two (62) new believers received Gojukai.
Rev. Suenaga read to the gathering the High Priest’s guidance at the September Kosen-rufu Shodai at the Head Temple and Chief Priest, Rev. Shindo Imafuku’s Okyobi ceremony lecture for October.
Some of the questions asked at the meeting were as follows:
- Who was the founder of Buddhism?
- Who created human beings and the universe?
With the achievement of 64 Gojukai at this meeting, Ghana achieved its shakubuku target for this year.
The determination of the district is to nurture the new members to deepen their faith in Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism so that the seed of Buddhism can be firmly established in Ahanta land, the indigenous people of Takoradi.
