The Chief Priest, Rev. Shindo Imafuku visited Koforidua from 2nd – 3rd September, 2017. He was accompanied by Koto, Dr. Kwame O. Boamah and Kanji member, Nana Kojo Baah Tieku I. Mr. Kofi Addo Nakawa, Vice Koto joined the all members meeting held at the Ages Lodge on the Mamfe – Koforidua road on Sunday, 3rd September.

After 1 hour shodai and morning gongyo, 4 (four) new members received gojukai. This brought the gojukai total achievement of the Koforidua District to eighteen (18). The gojukai target of the district for the year is fifteen (15). The Chief Priest recalled that last year, the district had a target of fifteen (15) but achieved only one.  The Chief Priest congratulated the district on its great achievement.  Thus, Koforidua District is the sixth (6th) district to achieve its shakubuku target for the year 2017. Congratulations!

The Chief Priest gave two lectures: High Priest Nichinyo Shonin’s guidance at the August Kosen-rufu Shodai ceremony and Chief Priest’s lecture based on High Priest’s guidance. Some of the questions which were asked at the meeting were as follows:

  1. Can one participate in other religious activities such as church, mosque, etc. after receiving gojukai?

Ii. Why should members focus on achieving shakubuku and not on their personal problems?

iii. The significance of personal prayer in the fourth silent prayer?

  1. What should we do with our torn juzu or old sutra books?

Koto reminded members of the targets of the year and also encouraged members to participate in the Oeshiki ceremony at the Hokkeji  temple in October.

Twenty-nine (29) members attended the meeting. The meeting came to a close with evening gongyo and a group photograph.
